A man died on Friday after being hit by two vehicles in Huntington Beach, according to police.

Officers responded to reports of a crash at the intersection of Warner Avenue and Beach Boulevard around 10 p.m. They found a man in the roadway and transported him to a local hospital, where he later died.

He was identified only as a 55-year-old Huntington Beach resident. His name has not yet been released publicly as of Saturday morning.

Investigations revealed that a 28-year-old man in a silver 2022 Lexus IS 500 was driving eastbound on Warner when he hit the man, who police said was walking outside of any marked crosswalk. A second driver, a 61-year-old man behind the wheel of a blue 2011 Ford Fusion, also hit the man shortly after.

Both drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Drugs and alcohol are not suspected to be a factor in the crash for either driver, police said.

The deadly crash was the second in Huntington Beach in as many days. On Thursday, July Fourth, a 27-year-old woman from West Covina died after she lost control of her motorcycle and collided with two cars.
