Man fatally shot on Brooklyn street on July Fourth

A man was fatally shot on a Brooklyn street on Independence Day, police said.

The 22-year-old victim got into an argument with another man on Dorchester Road near Flatbush Ave. in Flatbush just before 2 p.m., cops and sources said.

The disagreement boiled over, and the victim was shot in the groin.

Medics rushed him to Kings County Hospital, but he could not be saved.

There were no arrests as cops worked to track down the gunman. The victim’s name was not immediately released.

It was at least the second death to mar Independence Day in New York City.

Later Thursday, NYPD cops shot a young man who stabbed an 8-year-old boy to death and wounded his own parents in a luxury Queens apartment building Thursday, police sources said.
