Fight breaks out over fireworks in Los Angeles; 4 people stabbed

A dispute between neighbors over fireworks turned violent in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley on Thursday, and authorities say four people were stabbed.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a fight broke out around midnight on the 12300 block of Osborne Place in Pacoima over fireworks noise. The altercation quickly escalated.

The exact sequence of events was not immediately clear. According to stringer service Key News, neighbors said there was a shooting, multiple stabbings and bottles were thrown.

They also said that a group of people pulled a man out of a red truck and attacked him. One neighbor told Key News that, at one point, the men were lighting fireworks and throwing them at each other.

As many as four people were stabbed during the brawl. They were transported to a local hospital; however, their conditions were not immediately clear.

Police said one person was arrested.
