Cat-astrophe avoided: Video shows APD officer rescuing stray kitten

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department said last month an officer patrolling the city rescued a stray kitten on the road.

In a social media post, APD said the officer was able to “keep all of his nine lives intact.”

This purrrfect story has an even happier ending. APD said the kitten, now named Nelson, was adopted by an APD civilian employee.

Nelson was really feline his new forever home and was really happy right meow, APD said.
