Woman wanted by FBI for bank robbery in Southern California

Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Los Angeles Field Office are asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a suspect wanted for bank robbery in L.A.’s South Bay region.  

The May 31 robbery occurred at a Bank of America at 118 W. Rosecrans Ave. In Gardena, according to an FBI bulletin posted to social media.  

A female suspect, who appears to have a tattoo on her right wrist and was wearing a dark-colored cap with the phrase “Bad Hair Day,” along with a black medical face mask, a jean jacket and carrying a handbag with a large “J” printed on it, walked into the bank branch and passed a demand note to the teller.

Authorities did not provide any information on whether the woman was given any cash or if she was, how much she made off with.  

She was last seen on surveillance cameras leaving the bank and getting into a white sedan before leaving the area.
