Victoria and David Beckham decided to mark their 25th wedding anniversary in a nostalgic and stylish way.
In a shared post on Instagram on Wednesday, July 3, the couple wore their iconic all-purple outfits from their wedding reception back in the late ’90s. The caption, written by David, read, “Look what we found… 😅💜.” The image showed them sitting on the same ornate velvet chairs they had during their original wedding celebration.
Their wedding, which took place on July 4, 1999, was a grand affair held at Luttrellstown Castle in Ireland. Victoria’s fashion choices were particularly memorable, starting with a strapless ballgown and an extravagant train for the ceremony, which David, 49, complemented with an ivory suit and ascot. For the reception, they changed into matching purple outfits, with their baby son Brooklyn, who is now 25, adorably dressed in a coordinating purple onesie and cowboy hat.

Of course, comments from fans flooded in, with one fan hilariously saying, “Going to tell my kids these are the Queen and King of England,” while another noted, “look as good now as you did Back then 😍 iconic 😍xxx”. A third admirer reminisced about the past, saying, “Buying the newspapers every day for a glimpse of the wedding before Ok! came out… what a summer 1999 was! 💜”
The Beckham’s also delighted fans with another post made by Victoria, 50, on Sunday, June 30. The former Spice Girl shared two nostalgic photos from a romantic trip to Italy in 1997, advertising her new perfume called Portofino ’97. “Portofino in 1997 was a very, very romantic trip. I remember how excited I was to be there with David for the first time. The intensity of the two of us being together that 48 hours really was amazing… Kisses @DavidBeckham @VictoriaBeckhamBeauty,” she captioned the photos. One image showed Victoria playfully tousling the former soccer star’s hair, while the other featured the couple smiling for the camera.
Over the past 25 years, the Beckhams have built quite a family, welcoming three more children: Romeo, 21, Cruz, 19, and Harper, 12. They also renewed their vows in 2006 in a private home ceremony following a difficult period in their marriage.
