Man's body pulled from Marquette Park lagoon

CHICAGO — Divers on Thursday pulled the body of a man from the lagoon at Marquette Park on the city’s South Side.

Authorities were called to the lagoon near 3300 West Redfield Drive, in the city’s Chicago Lawn community, at about 9:40 a.m. upon reports of a person unresponsive in the water.

Chicago Police Marine Unit divers removed the body and pronounced the 30-year-old man dead.

No other information was released. Police said they’re investigating.
