Barron Trump Makes Rare Public Appearance With His Father

Barron Trump made a rare public appearance with his father, Donald Trump, as the two spent time together on a golf course, a video shared on social media shows.

The youngest of Donald Trump’s children, and the former president’s only child with wife Melania Trump, Barron Trump, 18, was captured on camera sitting in the passenger seat as his dad drove a golf cart.

In the clip, presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump was seen discussing his recent debate with former President Joe Biden. During the televised clash hosted by CNN on June 27, a number of viewers stated that Biden sounded hoarse and lacked energ. A Biden aide told Newsweek that the president was battling a cold during the debate.

Holding a handful of cash in the clip, Donald Trump asked a group of people who were not visible on camera: “How did I do with the debate the other night?”

After they responded that he was “fantastic” and “amazing,” the former president handed out the cash before referring to Biden as an “old broken down pile of crap.”

“He just quit you know. He’s quitting the race. I got him out of the race,” he said, despite Biden’s insistence that he will not step down.

“And that means we have Kamala [Harris],” Donald Trump continued in the undated video. “I think she’s going to be better.”

Following a short pause, he said of Vice President Harris: “She’s so f****** bad. She’s so pathetic.”

Donald Trump then appears to say: “Can you imagine that guy dealing with Putin and the President of China who’s a fierce person? He’s a fierce man, a very tough guy.”

However, it’s possible he said “gal” not “guy,” in which case he would have been referring to Harris.

“They just announced he’s probably quitting,” the former star of The Apprentice then added, definitely referring to Biden, before driving off.

Throughout the clip, which appeared to have been secretly recorded, Barron Trump was seen listening while sitting in silence.

This video contains strong language.

The Trump-Harris team issued a statement condemning Donald Trump’s comments.

“The American people have already seen low after low from Donald Trump,” read the statement. “They have seen again and again his disrespect for women, his disdain for Black Americans, and his complete disregard for our democracy and our democratic norms.

“Today, Donald Trump, while golfing and avoiding the campaign trail, hit a new rock bottom: caught on tape saying that Vice President Harris, who made history as the first Black and first Asian-American woman elected to the office, is ‘pathetic’ and ‘so f***ing bad.'”

Newsweek has contacted a representative of Donald Trump via email for comment.

Taking to his Truth Social platform in the early hours of Thursday morning, Donald Trump shared the same video clip, alongside the caption: “NO TAX ON TIPS!”

Barron Trump has kept a relatively low profile, mainly appearing silently by his family’s side at campaign events. That changed in May, when it was announced that the teen, who had graduated from high school that month, would be a Florida delegate at the Republican National Convention in July.

It was shared in the announcement that he would be joining his half-siblings Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Tiffany Trump at the event.

However, just a day later his mother shot down the prospects of him being a delegate, saying via a spokesperson: “While Barron is honored to have been chosen as a delegate by the Florida Republican Party, he regretfully declines to participate due to prior commitments.”
