4-year-old girl dies after being left unattended inside vehicle in northwest Houston, police say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A 4-year-old girl is dead after she was found in a vehicle on the city’s northwest side Wednesday evening, according to the Houston Police Department.

The scene is unfolding in the 6500 block of Hollister, HPD shared on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Police said the 4-year-old girl was found unattended inside a vehicle. She was taken to the hospital, where she reportedly died.

An investigation is ongoing into the case.
