Assault with a knife suspect barricaded in Los Angeles

A person suspected of assault with a deadly weapon has barricaded themself in Los Angeles, according to police.

The incident was initially reported at 12:40 p.m. in the 1600 block of Westmoreland Boulevard in L.A.’s Harvard Heights neighborhood, authorities said.

The barricaded person is suspected of using a knife during an alleged assault, according to police.

As of 6:47 p.m., the person was still barricaded. It’s unknown if any victims are barricaded with the suspect, who has yet to be identified.
