US

The 76ers signed nine-time All-Star Paul George to bolster their NBA title hopes, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Monday morning.

The deal is reportedly for four years and $212 million.

George was an All-Star for the Pacers, Thunder and Clippers.

The Clippers announced they were parting with George Sunday night.

“We traded a lot to pair Paul and Kawhi [Leonard] ]and in exchange we had five seasons of contention,” the statement read in part. “Even though we fell short of our ultimate objective, we appreciate the chances we had.”

The 76ers already boast 2022-23 MVP Joel Embiid and 2023-24 Most Improved Player Tyrese Maxey.

Philadelphia lost to the Knicks in the first round of the 2024 playoffs.
