Man stabbed multiple times during home invasion on North Side Thursday night; 1 in custody – Chicago Tribune

A 26-year-old man was in fair condition after being stabbed multiple times during a home invasion Thursday night on the North Side in the Sheffield Neighbors neighborhood, Chicago police said.

Shortly after 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a home invasion in the 2000 block of North Clifton Avenue where a man was stabbed multiple times by someone who entered residence, and fled the scene on foot, police said.

Officers caught the suspect and he was identified by the victim before being placed him into custody. The victim was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was listed in fair condition,

Charges were pending, police said.
