APD identifies pedestrian killed in hit-and-run crash Monday

AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Wednesday, the Austin Police Department provided information related to a fatal crash that occurred Monday between a vehicle and a pedestrian.

According to APD, the crash occurred in the 9200 block of Cameron Road, and officers responded to the incident around 6 a.m.

APD said the driver of the vehicle left the scene after the crash without stopping or calling 911. The pedestrian, later identified as 42-year-old Corey Green, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, this incident was being investigated as Austin’s 35th fatal crash of 2024.
