APD seek public’s help to find elderly woman last seen downtown

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department is seeking the public’s help to find an elderly woman last seen in downtown Austin on Monday.

Around 11:09 a.m., Anne Ringold, 70, was last seen walking eastbound in the 100 block of Sandra Muraida Way, according to an APD news release.

According to police, Ringold “regularly walks in the area, with a wheeled cart.” She was last seen with her cart and a black bag. Police described her as a white woman, 4 feet 11 inches in height, 90 pounds, straight, short brown hair and a large zipper scar down her torso.

Ringold was last seen wearing a face mask, white or tan bucket hat, a plaid shirt, light blue jeans and brown shoes, according to police.

APD said it is concerned for her “immediate welfare.”
