A woman died following a four-alarm house fire in Georgetown late Saturday night, crews announced Sunday.

The Georgetown Fire Department responded to the single-family home on East Main Street just before 11 p.m. Saturday. Crews said there were 20-foot high flames shooting from roof of the 2.5-story wood house.

Three residents had evacuated safely, but a woman was still inside, officials said. She suffered serious injuries, and firefighters were able to remove her through a second-floor window. The woman was transported to Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport, where she died overnight, officials said.

The fire was brought under control by 12:45 a.m. with aid from more than a dozen nearby departments, officials said.

The woman was not identified by officials, but a GoFundMe identified the residents as Scott and Susan Holbrook. The family “lost everything” in the fire, including Scott’s mother Nancy.

The family has lived in Georgetown for more than 30 years and “have been a big part of our community,” according to the fundraiser, which has already surpassed the $10,000 goal. As of Sunday evening, the community raised nearly $18,000.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
