One person injured in Naperville shooting

One person was injured after a shooting Sunday afternoon on Naperville’s northeast side.

Police responded to the 1000 block of Iroquois Avenue at about 2:45 p.m. for a report of a gunshot victim.

The victim was transported to the hospital, their condition is unknown.

Police officials said officers attempted to locate the shooting suspect by deploying police dogs and drones, but later learned the suspect fled in a vehicle.

Police believe the shooting “does not appear to be a random act of violence.”
