AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin-Travis County EMS responded to a vehicle crash that injured multiple people on FM 1327 Sunday night, according to social media posts from the agency.

The crash occurred shortly before 9 p.m., near the intersection of FM 1327 and US-183 in Travis County.

One of those patients was briefly trapped in a vehicle until first responders could free them. ATCEMS said it deployed four ambulances to the scene, transporting at least eight people to local hospitals, most of whom had non-life-threatening injuries.

However, an adult was brought to Ascension Seton hospital in Hays County with potentially life-threatening injuries, and STAR Flight transported another adult with critical life-threatening injuries to Dell Seton.

A child was transported to Dell Children’s Hospital as a pediatric trauma alert.

Travis County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the crash scene.

ATCEMS asks drivers to avoid the area as responders work to clear the accident.
