For the fifth year in a row, KTLA 5 hosted the star-studded “Lead with Love” telethon benefitting Project Angel Food and presented by City National Bank.
Hosts Steven Weber and Jessica Holmes were joined by co-hosts Loni Love, Alec Mapa and radio announcer Lisa Foxx. Other appearances included Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, Jamie Lee Curtis, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Kelly Clarkson, Jason Alexander, Jewel, Jean Smart, Eric McCormack, k.d. lang, Kathy Griffin, Kristin Chenoweth, Vivica A. Fox, Charo, Amanda Kloots, Jackie Beat, Michael McDonald, Vincent Rodriguez, Lawrence and Gregory Zarian, Project Angel Food founder Marianne Williamson and others.
Since premiering in June 2020, “Lead with Love” has raised millions of dollars for Project Angel Food’s vital work of feeding critically ill men, women and children in Los Angeles County. The organization prepares and delivers more than 1 million meals each year.
The nonprofit organization cooks and delivers healthy, delicious meals and offers nutrition counseling — all free of charge.
“Food is Medicine” is Project Angel Food’s philosophy. Its main goal is to help people become healthy again through proper nutrition.
