AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Austin Police Department is investigating a homicide in southeast Austin where one person died.

At around 4:07 p.m. Friday, APD officers responded to a service call on Metcalfe Road. Officers found a body with trauma.

Police did not have any suspect information.

This is being investigated as the 27th homicide of 2024. People with information can call the APD homicide tipline at 512-974-8477.
