Andy Cohen vouches for Jennifer Lopez’s character after Meghan McCain called her ‘deeply unpleasant’

Andy Cohen took the time to defend Jennifer Lopez during a recent episode of his “Daddy Diaries” podcast, saying that he’s enjoyed his interactions with the “Atlas” actor and shooting down claims that she’s been difficult to work with.

The statement followed comments from Meghan McCain, who criticized Lopez on a June 7 episode of her own “Citizen McCain” podcast, saying “she was not nice” and even “deeply unpleasant” when she appeared on “The View,” according to Us Weekly.

Cohen addressed these accusations, arguing “I don’t think that’s correct,” in regards to the idea that Lopez has “pissed off a lot of people.”

He added that he’s “amazed” at the backlash the 54-year-old star has received in recent weeks, as well as The Hollywood Reporter article from June 10, titled “The J. Lo Bubble Burst — How (Un)Likability Ruined Her Tour.”

The Bravo talk show host went on to say that Lopez has appeared as a guest four different times on his “Watch What Happens Live” show, and each time there was “no drama.”

“[She] wasn’t late, wasn’t anything. [She] showed up, was game, did the show,” he added.

Cohen also praised Lopez’s performance skills, calling her shows spectacular and explaining that he finds it baffling that people would criticize her for being overly ambitious.

The “Let’s Get Loud” singer has been having a rough go of it recently. On May 31, she announced she was canceling her low-selling summer tour, with promoter Live Nation, and it was reported on June 8 that she and husband Ben Affleck were working to sell their $60 million Beverly Hills mansion, as they navigate a potential split.
