CHICAGO — Three juveniles have been seriously injured after a shooting in the city’s West Ridge neighborhood, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
CFD officials said three juveniles were taken to local hospitals after a shooting that happened shortly after 7 p.m. near the intersection of West Hollywood Avenue and North Rockwell Street.
Firefighters said two juveniles were taken to St. Francis Hospital with the “red” designation, while another juvenile was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, also with the red designation.
According to CFD, a red designation means the person transported has serious-to-life-threatening injuries and is in need of immediate medical attention.
