Visually impaired candy seller robbed in Brooklyn subway: NYPD

A visually impaired 58-year-old man selling candy at a Coney Island, Brooklyn, subway station was robbed of his cell phone by a pickpocket, police said Thursday.

The suspect got away and is being sought, with police releasing a photo and video of him afterwards.

Cops said the incident happened at the Neptune Ave. station on the F line at 3 p.m. on June 7.

The victim was standing on the platform and selling candy from a box when the suspect, who appears to be in his 20s, came up on him and picked his pocket.

He then grabbed the box of candy from his target and walked off.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
