Richard Gere received a heartwarming tribute on Father’s Day from his wife of six years, Alejandra Silva.

On Sunday, June 16, Silva shared a touching message on Instagram honoring the 74-year-old actor, accompanied by a rare family photo featuring their sons, Alexander, 5, and their younger son, 3, whose name has not been disclosed. The photo also featured Silva’s son from a previous relationship named Albert, 9.

“Happy Father’s Day to the most wonderful dad four boys could ever wish for,” Silva, 41, wrote in the caption of her post, which included a carousel of family photos which thoughtfully blurred the children’s faces. The Runaway Bride actor is also father to Homer James, 24, from his previous marriage to Carey Lowell, and stepfather to her daughter, Hannah.

Silva’s post continued, “Your endless patience, love, and dedication are truly remarkable. Happy Father’s Day to the man who is always there for us, making every moment special,” signing off the post from her and their boys.

One of the images showed the actor carrying one of his sons on his shoulders while Silva and the other two boys stood beside him in the sea. Another photo captured Gere standing with Silva and Albert, who proudly displayed a school certificate.

Silva also shared a photo on her Instagram Stories showing the family at the beach, adorned with a sticker that read “Happy Father’s Day.”

Gere expressed his immense happiness in a heartfelt 2019 interview with Hello! Magazine following his marriage to Silva in 2018. “I’m the happiest man in the universe. How could I not be? I’m married to a beautiful woman who is smart, sensitive, committed to helping people, who’s fun, patient, who knows how to forgive, who’s a great cook, and who makes the best salads in the world!” he exclaimed.

In the interview, the Mr. Jones actor went on to praise Silva’s other qualities, saying, “Alejandra meditates, she’s a vegetarian, a great mother, has the touch of an angel, and she’s also Spanish — the land of kings and queens, of Cervantes and Bunuel. You can’t get any better than that.”
