A four-vehicle crash injured at least three people Monday evening near Sugar Grove.

Sugar Grove Fire Department responded to a report of a rear-ending at 5:06 p.m. and dispatched an ambulance and fire truck to the scene, Battalion Chief Robert Cahill said. One SUV and three sedans headed southbound on IL 47 and Jericho Road were involved in the rear-ending, he said.

Two additional ambulances from Oswego and Big Rock were called to the scene, and two people involved in the crash were transported to Mercy Hospital and one to Copley Hospital with nonlife threatening injuries, Cahill said.

Two people refused care on scene, he said.
