SAG HARBOR, New York — Singer Justin Timberlake has been arrested for driving while intoxicated in the Hamptons, a law enforcement official told ABC News.

The arrest occurred Monday night in Sag Harbor, New York. He was cited for running a stop sign and failure to keep in his lane.

People Magazine is reporting that the singer was having dinner with friends at The American Hotel and was pulled over shortly after leaving.

Timberlake was arraigned at Sag Harbor Village Justice Court on Tuesday morning.

He is currently on the road with his Forget Tomorrow World Tour. His next concert dates are in Chicago this weekend before heading back to New York City for two shows next week at Madison Square Garden.

The singer is due back in court for a hearing on July 26.

The star has not yet released a statement after the arrest.
