MOUNT PROSPECT, Ill. — Emergency crews were called to the scene of a large fire that broke out at an apartment building in the northwest suburbs on Monday evening.
The fire broke out at a building in the 1800 block of West Palm Drive in Mount Prospect.
WGN-TV crews were on scene around 10 p.m. when fire crews could be seen battling the blaze. One crew member could be seen spraying water into a second-story window as smoke billowed out.
Currently, it is unclear what sparked the blaze and officials have not yet provided details on how badly the building was damaged or if anyone was injured.
