Crash closes eastbound Lake-Cook between Rt. 53, Arlington Heights Road

A car and motorcycle crash resulting in serious injury has closed eastbound Lake-Cook Road this afternoon, authorities said.

At 3:51 p.m., several 911 calls were received reporting a crash involving at least one car and a motorcycle at the intersection of Lake-Cook and Wilke roads, according to a news release from the Arlington Heights Police Department.

Eastbound Lake-Cook Road is temporarily closed between Route 53 and Arlington Heights Road while investigators are on the scene, and police said it could take several hours. Drivers are advised to find another route.

Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction unit is assisting, and Buffalo Grove police officers are facilitating traffic control, the release said.
