CHICAGO — A round of storms brought intense winds to parts of Chicagoland on Sunday, leaving behind some damage.
In the city’s Austin neighborhood, strong winds brought down a large tree, which damaged several cars.
Several residents in the area said they saw some lightning and heard a loud noise, only to find the tree lying across the road.
“This is very dangerous very dangerous kids always out here playing it was hot today I’m glad there were not any kids out here,” Johnnie Beckworth, who lives in the area, said.
WGN-TV crews also spotted some damage in the Lombard area, where high winds brought down more tree limbs.
