Why Jason Kelce thinks Travis Kelce will win Kids’ Choice Awards

Jason Kelce believes younger brother Travis Kelce will soon be adding more hardware to his ever-growing collection.

When discussing the Chiefs tight end’s recent nomination for Favorite Male Sports Star at the 2024 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, the newly retired Eagles center noted that should a certain demographic be voting, Travis — who is dating pop superstar Taylor Swift — will win “by a f–king landslide.”

“I mean, dude, if it’s kids [voting] you’re winning this by a f–king landslide,” Jason told Travis on Wednesday during the latest installment of the “New Heights” podcast.

Travis, who is nominated alongside Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes, NBA stars LeBron James and Steph Curry and soccer phenoms Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, replied to Jason, “You think so?” before the newly minted ESPN personality elaborated on his new fanbase.

“I’m just letting you know, my demographic, when I used to go outside, used to be fat, hairy guys. That used to be who, if I was out in public, was going to stop me and say, ‘Hey, I like you Jason Kelce,’ football guys. Fat, hairy guys. Now, I go out in public, routinely, 14-year-old little girls, that is like where my bread and butter’s at, 12-to-14-year-old little girls are like, ‘Oh my God, you’re the brother of Travis, dating Taylor Swift,’ so I don’t think there’s a chance in hell that you’re not winning this award if it’s truly chosen by children. Might as well give you the award right now,” Jason said.

An appreciative Travis responded, “Thanks, man … I’ll make sure I keep influencing the kids to do the right things in this world.”

In addition to Travis, 34, Swift — who has been linked to the three-time Super Bowl champion since the summer of 2023 — also scored six Kids’ Choice nominations, including Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Global Music Star.

It’s been quite the offseason for Travis, who jet-setted to Australia, Singapore and Europe to support Swift, also 34, during the international leg of her blockbuster Eras Tour.

The nine-time Pro Bowler also landed an acting gig in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming series, “Grotesquerie,” and is hosting Amazon Prime’s new game show, “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?”

Travis attended the Chiefs’ mandatory minicamp Tuesday as Kansas City begins its quest for a Super Bowl three-peat.

The Chiefs topped the 49ers in Super Bowl 2024 this past February, with Swift in attendance at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Kansas City defeated Jason’s Eagles in the championship contest a year prior.

Jason, 36, hung up his cleats in March after 13 NFL seasons, all with Philadelphia.

ESPN announced in May that Jason signed with the network to serve as an NFL analyst on its “Monday Night Football” pregame show.

The 2024 Kids’ Choice Awards will air on Saturday, July 13, at 8 p.m.
