Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park open for the season

US

Trail Ridge Road through Rocky Mountain National Park is open for the season, park officials announced Friday, though access to the Alpine Visitor Center, gift shop and nearby parking areas remains closed.

The road’s traditional Memorial Day opening was delayed by May storms with high winds that hampered snow plows.

Park visitors must adhere to barricades and anyone who enters closed areas will be cited, park officials said in a post on X.

Reservations are required to enter the park during peak periods and can be made through recreation.gov.
