HUMBLE, Texas (KTRK) — An investigation is underway Friday afternoon as law enforcement is searching for an apparent murder suspect in the Humble area, according to officials.

Heavy police presence could be seen near the Will Clayton Parkway southbound ramp and the Eastex Freeway.
In a scarce update, the Humble Police Department said there was a shooting in the area at 11:30 a.m.
According to Mark Herman with Harris County Precinct 4, deputies are assisting Humble police in the search.
Officials did not provide a possible suspect description.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area as the investigation continues.
