Pete Davidson looking for someone to date his mom

Pete Davidson’s latest endeavor seemingly involves serving as a matchmaker for his mother.

The “Saturday Night Live” alum — whose dating life often overshadows his professional pursuits — is looking for a romantic partner for his mom, saying she’s a “good catch.”

“I’m really excited just because I’m trying to find my mom someone to date,” he said during a late Tuesday appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” to promote his forthcoming “SNL” hosting gig. “She hasn’t been with anybody in like 23 years. So, like, yeah! And she’s a good catch.”

Amy Waters Davidson raised Pete and his younger sister, Casey, on Staten Island after his father, New York City firefighter Scott Davidson, died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Oscar winner Marisa Tomei portrayed his mom in the semi-autobiographical comedy-drama “The King of Staten Island,”  while comedian Bill Burr starred as her beau.

The 29-year-old funnyman said he’s had his work cut out for him while trying to find his mom a suitable suitor. He admitted to not knowing her type, since they never “talk about that stuff.”

“I really just want someone to take care of her and get her off of my hands,” Davidson joked.

On Oct. 14, the “Bupkis” star return to host the “SNL” season premiere alongside musical guest Ice Spice. After eight seasons as a cast member, he left the iconic sketch comedy series in 2022.
