Vince Neil has broken ribs after falling off stage

Vince Neil broke his ribs after falling off of the stage and directly onto the concrete ground during a performance on Friday night.

Video shows the 60-year-old rocker walking to the front of the stage while performing with his band at Monsters In The Mountain Fest in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

Neil was encouraging the crowd to clap along when he suddenly fell and dropped out of the camera’s view almost instantly.

Apparently there was a small gap between the speaker and the stage that Neil didn’t notice, according to TMZ.

“The truth is Vince fell and broke ribs when he fell,” the singer’s bassist, Dana Strum, told the crowd a few moments later, adding that he “can’t breathe” and will be “dealt with medically.”

Reps for Neil did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Despite the scary accident, the band continued to play their cover of Mötley Crüe’s “Don’t Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)” as Neil’s team helped him get up and backstage. They went on to finish the set with guitarist Jeff Blando taking over lead vocals in place of Neil.

Neil is scheduled to reunite with Mötley Crüe for a massive stadium tour in 2022. It’s unclear how long Neil will need to recover from the injury, but worth noting that Mayo Clinic claims it shouldn’t take more than two months for broken ribs to heal.

The upcoming tour is exciting for 80s’ kids and rockers alike because it will be the first time Neil has performed with Mötley Crüe since 2015.
