Amal and George Clooney stepped out for an elegant dinner on Monday evening, each showing off their best date night outfits.
The couple looked smitten as they arrived at a restaurant in the Grand Hotel Tremezzo in Lake Como, Italy. They were joined by a group of friends prior to sitting down for dinner, and the duo walked arm-in-arm to their table, as seen in photos published by The Daily Mail. George looked dapper in a beige suit, while Amal sparkled in a white maxi dress.
Covered in silver sequins, her crochet gown shimmered in the moonlight, while small cutouts in the dress gave her look a more casual feel. She complemented the ensemble with a pair of dangling silver crystal earrings, which practically reached her shoulders. For the occasion, she also wore her dark hair down in effortless curls.
The couple arrived to dinner on a boat, and George carefully helped Amal disembark onto dry land. He kept a hold on her arm as they walked together to the restaurant, looking amused with their conversation. The duo was presumably coming from Villa Oleandra, a home they own in Lake Como.
The country of Italy holds a special place in the couple’s history, as they were married in Venice, Italy, in 2014. Three years later, George and Amal welcomed their twins, Alexander and Ella, in 2017.
Last year, the couple offered details about their children in an interview with Access Hollywood. Amal told the outlet that George has taken their music taste in a surprising direction. “He’s started playing heavy metal music, actually,” she said.
“The kids are listening to heavy metal,” George added. “They’re headbangers. It’s not fully heavy metal. It’s just heavy enough that they can bang their heads.” George then quipped, “Not that we’re in any way musical. We have no musical talent….We ruined the gene pool for them.”
