Selena Gomez Sparkled in a Glittery Little Black Dress at ‘Only Murders’ Premiere

Selena Gomez pulled out her best LBD last night, proving the monochromatic look can be just as killer as any other.

The actor stepped out in Los Angeles for the premiere of the fourth season of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building, and opted to bring some sparkle to the red (or in this case, green) carpet. She opted for a black Self-Portrait halter-neck shift dress with delicate beaded straps, a shimmering silver bow detail, and lace accents. She paired the look with heeled Roger Vivier bow sandals. The minidress, which reached just above her knees, was also covered in black glitter.

Gomez seemed to channel her inner Cinderella, keeping her metallic streak going with a pair of crystal drop earrings, as well as an array of matching silver rings. Later, she layered with a black blazer to tap into seasonal trends.

For the occasion, the actor slicked her hair back in a low bun with a deep side part. She was joined on the carpet by her co-stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Meryl Streep, who all looked just as elegant. Their latest season of Only Murders in the Building is set to premiere on Hulu and Disney+ on August 27th.

Gomez has had quite the year, as she admitted to Entertainment Tonight in an earlier interview. Responding to a question about her success this year—both professional and romantic—Gomez said this season of life was “hopeful and joyful,” adding she was “very grateful.”

Besides Only Murders in the Building, Gomez has been hard at work promoting her new film, Emilia Perez, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival this summer and will play at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. She’s also remained busy with her boyfriend Benny Blanco, who may be the source of her “hope” and “joy.” The two have been officially dating since last December, and have remained smitten by gushing over each other and sharing PDA-filled photos. Fans have even speculated that the couple will announce their engagement soon, and judging by Gomez’s comment, we wouldn’t be surprised.
