Selena Gomez proved that Barbiecore fashion isn’t just last summer’s trend. The actress was photographed wearing a dramatic pink maxi dress by Rebecca Vallance while shooting Only Murders in the Building on the Upper West Side of New York City today. Her hair was styled up, and she accessorized with Linda Farrow sunglasses.
Gomez is currently working on season 4 of the Hulu show, which will be set in Los Angeles as well as New York City. Exact plot details are unknown, but Time reported in its cover story of Gomez today that she will wrap filming soon. She told the outlet she considers the set to be a second home.

The Return of Selena
As for her music career, she shared that she is “50-50” on whether she’d do a major tour again. “Nothing makes me happier than 90 minutes of being with my fans and just celebrating together,” she said, admitting that on the flip side, “it is very emotionally draining for me. And then you realize you’re just surrounded by a bunch of people that you’re paying.”
Gomez addressed her shift from music to acting in a March Rolling Stone interview, too. She isn’t done with music, but it’s not her main focus right now, she said: “I think it’s natural for people to take breaks, but I think for me, there is a whole other aspect to my life, pride and joy. I love film. I love TV. I just feel like I haven’t done a lot of the things that I want to do in that space. It’s not that it’s ‘no, never’ [to music], it’s more that I would like to explore that world a bit more and have the time to actually do that.”
When it comes to acting, she added, “I love being able to take roles that I have to fight for, not the ones that are being handed to me. I’m going for the stuff that really, really inspires me.”
