Sturgill Simpson has announced a show to support Hurricane Helene efforts in North Carolina. He’ll play at the state’s Koka Booth Amphitheatre venue, in Cary, on October 21, the night before a previously scheduled stop at the same venue. All proceeds from the new date will benefit the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund.

Simpson had been scheduled to perform at Asheville’s ExploreAsheville.com Arena on October 21, but the show was canceled due to hurricane damage. Asheville resident MJ Lenderman has also had to cancel a run of tour dates due to devastation of his local area—he shared a list of links to support the community. Most of his tour remains unaffected.

Simpson is touring behind Passage du Desir, his recent album as Johnny Blue Skies.
