5XMedia Hires Former Keshet Exec Limor Gott Ronen As Partner

EXCLUSIVE: Former Keshet International SVP Limor Gott Ronen has reunited with Alon Shrutzman at 5XMedia.

Gott Ronen has joined the management company and production house as partner/producer, working alongside 5X partner Ryan Lindenberg, the former Berlanti Productions exec who joined in June, to add to 5X’s scripted and premium docs slate. She will also continue to separately develop and produce projects she already has in the pipeline.

Between 2012 and 2021, Gott Ronen was SVP at the international arm of Israeli broadcaster Keshet, working under Shtruzman, who became Co-CEO of 5X alongside Gil Goldschien earlier this year. The pair were among the key players who established Keshet International as a major player by making Rising Star one of the biggest selling formats in the world and selling several scripted titles for adaptation in the U.S., including Prisoners of War, which became Showtime’s Homeland.

Since exiting, Gott Ronen has built a slate, alongside the likes of Josh Fox (Gasland), who has also been brought into the 5X fold, as we reported last month. She will continue to work with the likes of Tim King (Heroes), Avi Belkin (Mike Wallace is Here), Daniel Sivan and Mor Loushy (Low Country: The Murdaugh Dynasty) on new projects, and has existing ones set up at HBO and A24, working with the likes of Nicholas Weinstock (Severance) and his Invention Studios, and Candle Media’s Exile Content Studio.

“I am so excited to have this second act with Limor, who joined me as one of the two first hires at Keshet International,” said Shrutzman. “She played a massive role in our international programming growth and brand success there. And now we get to repeat that feat by harnessing her development expertise, eye for talent, IP and the marketing of commercially successful shows that travel internationally.”

“It’s exciting to be building something again and to team up with Alon, Gil, Scott [Einbinder, 5X founder and Executive Chairman] and the wonderful 5X team, to create a new company that is truly independent, with an innovative approach to the business, tremendous value for partners and clients, and keep developing projects I’m passionate about.”

5X has offices in LA, Miami, Cape Town and Madrid, positioning itself as an international production house, talent manager and TV and film distribution biz. It is working with international execs such as Michael Kaufman and Anthony Kimble to build out a global media operation.
