‘Frozen 3’ Gets Official Thanksgiving 2027 Release; Pixar’s ‘Hoppers’ Sets Spring 2026

Coming out of D23, it’s not shocking to hear that Frozen 3 is getting the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, Nov. 24, 2027 release date. That’s the traditional time when Frozen and Disney animated movies ‘let it go’ so to speak; har har har. On Friday night at Disney’s presentation, it was indicated that the threequel would open in 2027.

The first Frozen opened limited in one theater for five days in 2013 before blasting out wide on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Frozen 2 opened on the Friday before Thanksgiving in 2019. Together the two movies racked up $2.7 billion.

In addition, Pixar’s new movie about a human brain inside of a beaver, Hoppers, is opening on March 6, 2026. Warner Bros. has their animated version of The Cat in the Hat there. Well, someone’s gonna want to move there. Hoppers features the voices of Jon Hamm and Bobby Moynihan. The title was announced on Friday at Disney’s D23 big film and TV presentation at the Honda Center.

In addition, today, the Disney release schedule also re-emphasized that Avatar 3 now known as Avatar: Fire & Ash, is coming out on Dec. 19, 2025.
