Verve Promotes Kelly Devine To TV Lit Agent

EXCLUSIVE: Kelly Devine has been elevated to an agent on Verve‘s TV Literary team. She is the second new agent in the department following the hire of TV Lit Agent Jillian Holch last week.

Devine, a USC graduate who started her career in the feature talent department at WME, joined Verve in 2020 as an assistant and has worked on the desks of Adam Weinstein, Felicia Prinz, Chase Northington and Viviane Telio. She was promoted to Coordinator in 2022.

In addition to Devine’s promotion, Verve also bulked up its coordinator ranks, elevating several assistants across various teams. Emma Kapson (LA) and Rebecca Shaevitz (NYC) have been upped to Publishing & IP Coordinators; Shaz Hussain to Ventures Coordinator, Verve’s Independent Film Finance and Sales arm; and Natalie Frerking to Motion Picture Literary Coordinator.

“During her time at Verve, Kelly has demonstrated not only a discerning eye for literary talent but also a natural aptitude for the business of representation,” the partnership said in a statement. “Her passion and dedication were evident as an assistant and we are excited to see her thrive in this new role.”

Added Devine, “It’s an honor to work at an agency so committed to its values and to continue championing groundbreaking voices in the TV industry.”
