What Bachelorette Jenn Tran, Devin Strader Have Said About the Breakup

On the Timeline of Their Breakup

Jenn and Devin split in early August. But even before then, she knew something was off.

During the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, Jenn recalled how Devin “was not super happy about the the engagement” and how she’d agreed to take the pressure off of getting married right away by just dating—saying they planned to tie the knot after two years.

However, things soon took a turn.

“Things were just not good,” she continued. “We were fighting, not making any compromises, which is bad. I had sat him down. I was like, ‘Let’s talk about this. What’s going on here?’ He basically said, ‘I’m just not happy anymore.’ He’s like, ‘Some days I wake up and I just don’t feel it.’ I was like, ‘What do you mean by that?’ He was like, ‘Somedays I wake up and I just don’t love you.'”

Jenn said she left the conversation sobbing but that Devin comforted her and offered to do couples counseling.

“I was like, OK, there’s hope I think,” she shared. “He wants to go to couples counseling. He doesn’t want anything to change. He loves me. OK, great. We’ll work on his feelings.”

But days later, Jenn continued on the podcast, they got into a fight about their happy couple weekend—with her saying Devin would book the latest flight to the destination and the earliest flight out.
