When your early credits include the series My Three Sons, Rawhide and his father’s famous show Sea Hunt, you just know that Beau Bridges has stories to share. The 3-time Emmy winner and son of Lloyd Bridges and brother of actor Jeff Bridges is 82, and showing no signs of slowing down. At the time of this interview, Bridges was surrounded by his grandchildren on a Hawaiian island he calls home.

He’s got a movie opening July 23, Camera, a heartwarming story of loss, hope and healing as he plays a bond with a 9-year old boy who is unable to speak but who is captivated by a broken film format camera. He’s also co-starring in the CBS drama Matlock this fall opposite Kathy Bates, and is coming off recent turns in the Apple TV+ limited series Lessons in Chemistry, and the indie films The Neon Highway and Dreamin’ Wild.  Bridges learned the craft while acting and here he describes the influences that made him such a timeless actor.
