Hotline TNT have announced their new album, Cartwheel, with a video for the new single “I Thought You’d Change.” The album is due out November 3 via Third Man. The Brooklyn-based band also announced some fall tour dates around their set at Pitchfork Music Festival London in November. Check out the track list, the Eric Rahill–directed video for “I Thought You’d Change,” and all the tour dates below.

Cartwheel is Hotline TNT’s follow-up to Nineteen In Love, the 2021 LP Will Anderson originally released on YouTube. Anderson recorded most of the songs on Cartwheel in two sessions: one with Ian Teeple (Silicone Prairie), and one with engineer Aron Kobayashi Rich (Momma). He shared the single “Protocol” in July.

Of the new song, Anderson says:

“This song is about wanting a friendship to turn into something more, seeing it happen against all odds, wondering if it was the right thing to do, then wanting it to change back to a friendship or even a secret third style of attachment that I can’t identify or hold onto. This is the first time I’ve written a song that switches back and forth between two narrators, and I’m not sure which words are supposed to be mine and which are from my lover.”
