Tina Turner Remembered by Karen O, Mick Jagger, Ciara, Sheila E., and More

Brian Wilson, Questlove, Bethany Cosentino, Billy Corgan, Kid Cudi, Bette Midler, and many others have paid tribute to the late rock and soul legend

Musicians are reacting to the news that rock and soul legend Tina Turner has died. On Instagram, Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Karen O wrote: “It’s so hard to say goodbye 💧would’ve preferred you sticking around forever Tina 🤍you, my very first introduction to a rock Goddess, the sheer power of your irrepressible spirit seared in forever. Thank you and rest easy 🤍🤍🤍.”

Others paying tribute to Turner include the Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger, who said, “I’m so saddened by the passing of my wonderful friend Tina Turner. She was truly an enormously talented performer and singer. She was inspiring, warm, funny and generous. She helped me so much when I was young and I will never forget her.”

Brian Wilson, the Roots’ Questlove, Margo Price, Bethany Cosentino, Ciara, Sheila E., Bette Midler, Garbage, Grandmaster Flash, Michael Warburton, Blondie’s Debbie Harry, Bryan Adams, Kid Cudi, the Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan, City Girls’ JT, Diane Warren, Paloma Faith, and the Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood have also paid their respects to the late Turner.
