As for if they have met each other’s families, the Mrs. Doubtfire actor confirmed they have, and that Chilli’s 25-year-old son Tron, who she shares with ex Dallas Austin, is someone he connects with well.
On the topic of having his own children one day, Matthew noted, “I hope. That’s the game plan. That’s what we’re trying to do.”
Prior to dating Chilli, Matthew was married to Cheryl Burke for two years before the Dancing With the Stars alum filed for divorce in February 2022. Their divorce was finalized in September of that year.
Following their initial split, Cheryl has been open about navigating a new chapter. On Dec. 28, she penned a message in honor of her emotions leading up to the then-upcoming New Year.
“When you see me crying at 11:59pm on NYE don’t think it’s because I’m sad. It’s because i fking MADE IT through the year that did everything it could to try and break me,” she wrote in a TikTok. “And there were a lot of moments I thought it would but here I AM.
