An 11-year-old boy was taken to a hospital in good condition after being hit by a car in Englewood late Sunday night on the South Side.

Around 11:15 p.m., the boy ran into the street in the 700 block of West 76th Street when he was struck by a silver sedan, Chicago police said.

He suffered minor injuries and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was in good condition, police said.

The driver of the sedan stayed on scene and no citations were issued.
