A man was killed and another injured after a shooting in Gage Park Friday night, according to Chicago police.
Two men, 42 and 33, were in a “verbal altercation” in the 5500 block of South Spaulding Avenue at 8:13 p.m. when one of them pulled out a handgun and both then struggled for it, police said. The 42-year-old was shot multiple times and taken to Christ Medical Center where he later died.
The 33-year-old was also shot multiple times and taken to Christ Medical Center in critical condition.
No one is in custody.
