The fire was reported at about 3:30 p.m. in the 600 block of East Colorado Boulevard, according to the Verdugo Fire Communications Center.

Aerial footage from Sky5 showed tall plumes of flames bursting through openings in the home’s roof.

The residence remains an active scene, though no injuries have been reported.
